The American Red Cross quickly mobilized alongside its partners to bring relief and comfort to those whose lives were turned upside down. Red Cross teams helped provide safe shelter for people displaced by the disaster. Hot meals and relief supplies were also distributed. The teams were able to distribute and offer:
- More than 264,000 meals and snacks
- More than 179,000 relief items
- More than 23,000 health services
- More than 39,000 overnight stay
In addition, the Red Cross has also opened more than 4,000 personalized support files for disaster victims.
