This year was marked by the war in Ukraine, more than 7 million of ukrainian are fleeing accross Europe. In neighbouring countries, NGO are mobilised and are actively acting to provide a decent welcoming. This european news reminded us that everywhere in the world, people were in a critical situation and needed humanitarian aid.

Together, we can help refugees ! 

The Rescue & Recover Fund support concrete actions done by the NGO Doctors Without Borders, the Red Cross and CARE. Thanks to your generosity, we can act to help refugees and provide them support and care.

In 2022, the Rescue & Recover Fund celebrates its 10th birthday. Since 2012, we are supporting our NGO partners in case of urgence or on a longer term through the development campaigns. More than 13 millions euros has been distributed since the beginning thanks to your generosity and to the doubling system of the fund. The participation of employees, retirees and clients of BNP Paribas is more and more important and we are proud of this growing renown.

The huge amount of rain that Pakistan suffered at the end of august affected more than 30 million people and caused more than 1300 deaths. A lot of accomodations were destroyed and the population is in a precarious situation. Employess solicited the Rescue & Recover Fund to launch a campaign. Doctors without borders and the Red Cross are acting on the ground to support populaiton by providing drinking water access and shelters. People risk to develop cholera, dengue or malaria. 214 661 euros distributed to the NGO will help to buy emergency kit, tents or boats.

Since the 24th of february 2022, the world is astonished by the humanitarian drama which is taking place in estern Europe. After this date, the Rescue & Recover Fund's partners decided to act on the ground to bring emergency help to civil victims. CARE France, the Red Cross, IFAW and Doctors Without Borders acted in cooperation to help people. The teams were mobilized to distribute food and non food items, water, hygiene kits, financial and psychological support... Thanks to the generosity of all the donators, we were able to redistribute more than 5 million euros to NGO !

After the passage of the Batsirai cyclone on the costs of the island last february, the Rescue & Recover Fund decided to collect funds to support financially actions of its partners: CARE, the Red Cross and Doctors without Borders. A vast emergency program including medical care, repairs of shelters, delivery of non food items and access to water.

Seventy percent of women have experienced some form of violence, whether physical, sexual, economic or social. As part of its end-of-year campaign, the Rescue & Recover Fund is committed to taking action against this crisis through three projects led by its NGO partners CARE, the Red Cross and MSF. By funding concrete actions on the ground, we can all act to help women and children who suffer from violence that makes them even more vulnerable. Sixteen years after the devastating Hurricane Katrina, Louisiana was hit by Hurricane Ida on 29 August 2021. It hit south-east Louisiana hard with deadly winds reaching 240 km/h, damaging and destroying much infrastructure and leaving millions of homes without power. Significant flooding also occurred in the south-eastern parts of Louisiana and Mississippi. Learn more >
