In April and May 2015, earthquakes of magnitude 7.9 and 7.3 struck Nepal, affecting 8 million people. As a result of the disaster, more than 8,800 people died, 22,300 were injured and more than 790,000 houses were destroyed or damaged. All donations collected as part of this campaign were shared equally between the three partner associations.

More than 100,000 people have received assistance from CARE. The teams were able to distribute emergency kits (tarpaulins, blankets, soaps, clothes...) and intervene in the fields of water and sanitation (distribution of jerry cans, water purification tablets...)

Red Cross

The French Red Cross and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies coordinated the emergency response to meet the needs of 75,000 beneficiaries in terms of shelter, water and sanitation, medical aid and basic necessities.

The association provided medical and surgical assistance to the wounded, with the dispatch of medical equipment and the establishment of an emergency hospital with a capacity of 60 to 80 beds with two surgical blocks and a capacity of 60 to 80 beds.
