Created in 2012, the Rescue & Recover Fund is BNP Paribas' endowment fund.
It brings together the Group's employees and retirees (members of the Amicale des Retraités), as well as retail banking customers in France in a shared spirit of generosity.
This pioneering structure is able to collect donations wherever BNP Paribas is present in the world and draw on the generosity that unites its members.
The Rescue & Recover Fund's first mission is to support the rapid dispatch of relief and emergency aid to affected areas all over the world as soon as disaster hits, via our humanitarian partners.
When a crisis occurs (fire, earthquake, hurricane, tsunami, conflict, etc.), the Rescue & Recover Fund's Board of Directors decides whether to launch an emergency campaign, which triggers a collection of donations for partner NGOs present on the ground.
The Rescue & Recover Fund's second mission is to provide lasting assistance to the most vulnerable people through projects run by our humanitarian partners.
The aim is to provide support for long-term development issues: access to drinking water, mother and child health, adaptation of vulnerable communities to climate change, etc.
